All Third Grade classes visit:

  • Kule Loklo Village (Bear Valley Visitor's Center) - Olema, CA in September or October

    • History/Social Sciences Standard addressed:

      • 3.2 - Students describe the American Indian nations in their local region long ago and in                  the recent past.
  • Falkirk Cultural Center - San Rafael, CA in November or December
    • Visual Arts Standards addressed: 
      • 1.0 Artistic Perception
      • 4.0 Aesthetic Valuing
  • Planetarium (location to be determined) in December, January or February
    • Science Standard addressed:
      • 4.0 Earth Science - Objects in the sky move in regular and predictable patterns
  • MALT Farm Field Studies (visitation to a ranch or farm in Marin County) in March, April or May

    • History/Social Science Standard addressed:

      •  3.5 Economics

Note: Teachers may choose to take other field trips, which are closely tied to the curriculum and standards. Please check with your child's teacher.
